Attack of the mutant meme

Yesterday I stayed up when I got in from work and didn't go to bed until 8 last night, then I got up at 4 this morning. You'll be glad to hear I've spent the past 5 hours working on the next 'Angel of the Morning' chapter and I might get it finished today.

I've been tagged by curiouswombat to do the 5 songs meme. Not unlike the 6 songs meme that I did a couple of weeks back; perhaps it's just mutated slightly.

list five songs that you are currently digging... it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artists, and the five songs in your blog. Then tag five other people to see what they're listening to. Okay:

The Hooters, 'Satellite'. I don't own it, alas, but Manx Radio are playing it every night on the overnight show.

The Skids, 'Into the Valley'.

Something Corporate, 'Punk Rock Princess'

Kings of Leon, 'Kings of the Rodeo', mainly because I like the video so much; I keep an eye open for it playing on MTV2.

Joan Osborne, 'What if God was one of us?' Another one Manx Radio play most nights, but I've got it on my hard drive as a Buffy vid starring Glory, done by Emily Waldon, and it's brilliant - my favourite ever Buffy vid.

No Big Country, you say? For once, no; but Stuart Adamson was in The Skids.

As far as tagging anyone else goes, well, the past 5 nights at work haven't left me any time to keep up with my f-list except for fics (and I might well have missed some of those!) and so I've no idea whose done it and who hasn't. nihilistbear doesn't seem to be around on LJ at the moment or I'd have tagged her; otherwise I'll just say do it if you want to.
