Major new talent alert - Words in the Heroes' Tongue
I have a variable-sword. I urge calm.
Major new talent alert
Then felt I when some watcher of the skies
When some new planet swims into his ken
Or possibly his barbie.

frimfram has finally started posting her Victorian William story The Other Side of the Tracks. I've been looking forward to it for ages and it hasn't disappointed. Sheer magic. William, Dru, railway stations, gratuitous bloodshed, sex, and (appearing in a future chapter) Arthur Conan Doyle.

If you don't fear WIPs go read. If you do, be comforted by the knowledge that she's written a lot more than has been posted so far. She is AWESOME.

curiouswombat has made substantial progress with her first long story, a Dawn future fic, and will be posting chapter one soon, probably tonight. I might be a little biased but I think it's pretty damn good too. Look out for it on her LJ.

Now off to grab a quick shave before I rush off to work.

Current Mood: rushed rushed
Current Music: Alice in Wonderland soundtrack, "I'm late, I'm late ..."

Muhahah, you'll eat your words when the next fourteen chapters are Mary-Sue'd Spike/Riley written entirely in netspeak.

Very much looking forward to curiouswombat's story - I'll be looking out for it! Have a good night at work.

I gave in to this blatant bullying from my husband and have, with trepidation, put the first chapter of Ten Years After up on my LJ.

Now I'll have to learn how to do those clever things like putting previous chapter here links and things - note to husband - you'll have to help - that'll teach you to make me put things on LJ - oh yes it will!!

Thanks for the recs. And, while you might be biased, you aren't wrong. The beginning of "Ten Years" is fabulous.

I second that - thanks for the recommendation!
