Drabble: His Worst Nightmare
Here's the third of my series of Ats/A-Team crossover drabbles. "If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire - the A-Team." Well, Angel Investigations has a problem - baby Connor has been kidnapped and taken to Quortoth - and they knew how to find the A-Team.

I've started posting them at Twisting The Hellmouth under the series title of It's A Nice Place To Visit, and they are now stored in my Memories under that name. It was the title of one of the early A-Team episodes and I thought it appropriate. They're all 100 words, of course; this one rates G.

His Worst Nightmare

“So,” Face asked, running a finger around his collar, “just what sort of monsters will we have to go up against in this hell dimension?”

“Well, our expert isn’t here,” Fred said. She glanced nervously at Angel. He made no comment and so she continued. “According to W- his research notes we can expect to face M'Fashnik demons, Vinji, Sahvin, Serpavo, Sluk, packs of Wolfweres, Tanar’i, and the Ravenous Blugblatter Beast of Traal.”

Face heaved a sigh of relief. “That’s not so bad,” he said. “Just as long as you can promise me that there won’t be any - gulp - Cylons.”

Didn't really get the significance of Cylons. Otherwise, well done :)

Dirk Benedict, who played Face in 'The A-Team', had played Lt. Starbuck in the original 'Battlestar Galactica'. This was an in-joke within the A-Team series; one of the episodes was set in Hollywood and featured a scene in which Face was startled by an actor in costume as a Cylon, and that scene was made part of the opening credits sequence for the rest of the A-Team's run.

So technically speaking you managed to do a three level crossover between BTVS/AT/BG.

Well, as long as six midgets and a little boy don't drop out of an inter-dimensional portal you're in the clear.

Wolfweres and Tanar'i are from Baldur's Gate/AD&D, and the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal is from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so that makes it a five-level crossover.

the Ravenous Blugblatter Beast of Traal.

The creature so inordinately stupid it assume that if you can't see it, it can't see you.

Hee.

Very nice.

It was banished to Quortoth by a Vogon grandmother.

Hee. I've only ever seen about one episode of the A Team (under duress) so these tend to wash over me. At least I got this one!

They're reshowing it on UK Gold. Not that I'm watching apart from the odd little bit to get the voices & characterisations right.

These are actually frightening me because, while I never watched the show, enough of it was in the pop culture conciousness that I'm familiar with it - and finding these funny. AtS, The A-Team, HHGTTG - oh goodness! And the Cylon reference. I'd forgotten about Dirk's stint on BSG.

Hee!
