WriterConUK
Well, the WriterConUK Event for 2011 has now finished. The Wombat and I had a wonderful time. We'll be going home tomorrow; the shipping forecast predicts that the sea will be rough for our ferry crossing, so that won't be fun, but it can't be helped. Once home I'll be on holiday for a while and so I'll be able to get some writing done.

It was a very enjoyable experience, I really enjoyed all the presentations as well as meeting up with people and chatting in person instead of in type. Next time we'll have to make sure we have time to talk properly.

Safe travels home, I hope the sea calms a bit before you set sail. I'm looking forward to more Dawn/Sams.

Thank you!

Actually the crossing was quite pleasant; although there was definitely a strong wind, and the ship took half an hour longer than usual, the sea wasn't rough after all.

Thank you very much!

The crossing wasn't bad at all; there was quite a strong wind but the sea wasn't rough.

Hope the sea isn't too rough, but it's a touch windy round here, have to say.

Thank you! It wasn't bad after all; although it was windy, and the head-wind added half an hour to the length of the crossing, the sea wasn't rough.

We never really got the chance to talk in person; we always ended up on different tables or at opposite ends of the room. Maybe next year.
