Happy birthday airawyn

In other news: curiouswombat has come up with a possible reason for why I've been feeling unwell for the past couple of weeks. I'm trying a radical change of diet and hopefully it will help. Maybe I'll be able to stay awake tonight and get some writing done instead of flaking out.

Today is the last day for sign-ups for the watchersdiaries' August 'Tales of Witches and Demons' ficathon, for original character witch and/or demon stories. Anyone who fancies having a go should get over there now to sign up.

I was going to stay out of it; I've got far too many other commitments already. However it was tempting. The first 'Tales of Slayers and Vampires' there inspired me to produce what is almost certainly the best thing that I have ever written; The Cloak of Mist. Eventually I gave in to temptation and I have signed up to do a Witch story.

It will be a prequel of sorts to my other entrant in that first ficathon, Deid Canny, but taking place thirty years earlier. A young witch in the bloody days of the Border Reivers. Look out for 'Days of No Trust', coming soon to a computer near you.

Ya Know!

You have been feeling poorly for a while. Have you been to the Doctor? It could be something as simple as a cold - or a low grade infection.

BUT anytime you have felt like crap for more than two weeks it is time for a professional look see, in my humble opinion. Just sayin'

And its always a good idea to eat right and get enough sleep. I wish someone would do that for me.

Looking forward to the witch story. I loved 'the cloak of mist'! I'd be tempted myself if I wasn't committed to writing something for seasonal_spuffy, witchcraft has a natural affinity...

Hope the new diet works.

Hope the new diet does the trick for you. It's no fun at all to be feeling crummy all the time.

"The Cloak of Mist" is an absolute gem. Thinking on it, I need to go and re-read that one. Ah summertime, when reading is my life!

I hope the new diet works, though I have to agree that talking to a doctor might be a good idea. A while back, I was sick for weeks with something that I thought was a fairly low-grade gastro problem, but it turned out to be something much more serious that took 2 surgeries to fix--and colostomy bags are not as much fun as you'd think.

Always glad when you get inspired to write, no matter on what. I even like your Moby Dick shorties, though I don't much care for drabbles OR puns. And though I enjoyed Cloak</>, Lonely on the Mountain is my #1 of your fics.
